Since 1988, Donna Green has been owner and president of A Time for Kids. Ms. Green was aware of the need for preschoolers to have an environment where they could practice being in a group learning experience. How do young children know what to do when they are independent learners in preschool? Additionally, how do their adults know what skills their child understands or are ready to perform independently?
Co-founders, Donna Green and Ellen Rosenstein, created A Time for Kids, Inc. They began providing unique programs for libraries and Town Recreation Centers. Carefully constructing programs using the adult caregiver as their child’s learning model. Twenty six years later, Ms. Green and her team of instructors present over 600 programs per year in more than 50 libraries and community centers throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties.
